What is Optrex Double Action Dry & Tired Eye Drops?

Optrex Double Action Dry & Tired Eye Drops is an eye treatment that is designed to restore moisture in the eyes. The Double Action Eye Drops contain twice as many hydrating ingredients as the standard Optrex Eye Drops. It contains ingredients such as sodium hyaluronate which helps to rehydrate and lubricate the eyes. Optres Double Action is preservative and phosphate free.

What causes dry eyes?

Dry eyes can be caused by a number of different conditions. The main issue with dry eyes is that not enough tears are being produced, which is resulting in less lubrication and hydration in the eyes. Causes of dry eyes and reduced tear production can include:

  • Ageing
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • Thyroid disorders
  • Vitamin A deficiency
  • Some types of medication
  • Laser eye surgery
  • Tear gland damage from inflammation

In most cases, dry eyes can be treated and prevented by avoiding dry, harsh environments.
