What is Murine Irritation & Redness Eye Drops?
This Murine Eye Drop solution is a form of treatment that is designed to reduce the effects of redness in the eyes as well as irritation. Redness and irritation are mainly caused by things such as dust, wind, smoke, pollution, as well as looking at computer screens for long periods. Irritation in the eye expands the blood vessels which makes them red. The active ingredient is naphazoline hydrochloride, which is a decongestant that thins the arteries in the eyes.

These eye drops are suitable for anyone aged 12 and over who are suffering from the effects of irritated eyes. Murine Eye Drops should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the eye drops.

There is no evidence of any problems when using Murine Eye Drops when pregnant or breastfeeding. However, if you are unsure, then speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist.
Can Murine Eye Drops be used with other medication?
Speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using these eye drops if you are using any other form of medication. If you are using any other eye treatment, then it is recommended that you leave at least 15 minutes between using each treatment.
How should Murine Irritation & Redness Eye Drops be used?
Wash your hands before using. Apply the solution into each eye by gently squeezing one or two drops on each eye. When doing this, make sure to not touch the eye with the nozzle. Do this 2-3 times a day.
Are there any side effects?
There is a small chance of side effects when using these eye drops. Potential side effects include:
- Temporarily having wider pupils in the eyes
- Eye pain
- Vision changes
If you notice any side effect, speak to a doctor as soon as possible. You can also record any side effect using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
