What are Minims Artificial Tears?
Minims Artificial Tears are a substitute for natural tears, designed to lubricate the eyes and relieve symptoms associated with dry eyes (itchiness, soreness, redness). These eye drops contain the active ingredients 0.35% w/w sodium chloride and 0.44% w/w hyetellose.
How to use these eye drops
These eye drops are in single use doses. Once used, they must be thrown away. Start by thoroughly washing and drying your hands. Using a mirror to help you see what you’re doing, pull your lower eyelid down gently, then gently squeeze the bottle util some liquid dallas inside your lower eyelid. Make sure the dropper doesn’t touch any parts of your eye. Keep your eyelid closed for a few seconds before moving onto the other eye.
What are the symptoms of dry eyes?
It can sometimes be difficult to figure out what exactly is causing your eyes to feel uncomfortable. If you’re not completely sure, you should speak to your GP or optometrist for expert advice. You may be suffering with dry eyes if your eyes are:
- Itchy
- Sore
- Gritty
- Red
- Blurry
- Sensitive to light
- More watery than usual
When should this product not be used?
Minims Artificial Tears will be suitable for most people, including children and pregnant or breastfeeding women. Do not use these eye drops if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Are there any side effects?
Minims Artificial Tears are unlikely to cause significant side effects. Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.

Storage information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
