Olbas for Children is a mixture of essential pure plant oils, specially formulated for children and infants to gently clear blocked noses. The oil gives off natural vapours to immediately clear nasal congestion and relieve painful sinuses. Olbas for Children is useful for treating colds, flus, catarrh, hay fever and blocked sinuses.
Directions
Always use Olbas for Children exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.
When using Olbas Oil for babies aged 3 months to 2 years, add 4 drops of oil to a tissue and hold close to, but not touching the nose to allow the child to breathe in the vapours. This can be repeated at night and placed in the child’s bedroom out of reach to inhale throughout the night.
For children aged 2 and over add 8 to 12 drops to a tissue and hold close to, but not touching the nose, to allow the child to breathe in the vapours. This can be repeated at night and placed in the child’s bedroom out of reach.
Olbas for Children can also be used with hot water. Add 8 to 12 drops to hot water and allow your child to breathe in the vapours or leave in the room out of your child’s reach for them to inhale the vapours. The same can be done at night time.
Warnings
Olbas for Children may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Do not allow Olbas Oil to remain in contact with your child’s skin for extended time periods. This product is for inhalation use only. Do not put drops directly into the nose or mouth. If this occurs, seek medical advice as this can be harmful.
If this product comes into direct contact with the surface of the eye, make sure you wash your child's eye thoroughly and seek immediate medical advice.
Using/taking other medicines
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if your child is taking or has recently taken other medicines, including non-prescription medications.
Age restrictions
Olbas Oil for Children is not recommended for infants under 3 months.

Side effects

Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Storage information
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
