What is Sterimar Congestion Relief Sea Water Nasal Spray?
This Sterimar Congestion Relief Nasal Spray is a treatment that helps to provide relief for nasal congestion that makes breathing more difficult. This nasal spray does not contain any drugs, steroids, or preservatives. Instead, it uses natural seawater that has been diluted and enhanced with copper.
What causes a blocked nose?
A blocked nose is most likely caused by an infection such as a cold, or an allergy such as hay fever. The blockage occurs when the infection gets into the nose and causes irritation, which thickens the blood vessels and reduces the size of the airways. An infection will also increase mucus production to an excess, which causes it to become trapped in the chest, throat, and at the back of the nose. This causes a mucus cough.
Who is this nasal spray suitable for?
This Sterimar nasal spray is suitable to be used by adults and children aged 3 and over. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the spray. This nasal spray can be used by those who cannot use other types of medication.
Can this Sterimar decongestant be used by anyone pregnant or breastfeeding?
Anyone pregnant should speak to a medical professional before using this nasal spray. It can be used by someone who is breastfeeding without issues.
How should Sterimar Congestion Relief Sea Water Nasal Spray be used?
This spray can be used on its own for congestion relief or combined with another treatment. To use this spray, prime the nozzle by spraying once away from the face. Then insert the nozzle into the nostril and spray gently without breathing in or tilting the head. Once you have done this, allow excess liquid to flow out of the nose and then blow the nose. Once you have done this for one nostril, repeat the process for the other nostril.
Are there any side effects?
Any side effect is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. Any side effect discovered can be recorded by using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

How long after opening can you keep using before disposal
Sterimar products can be kept for a maximum of three years after manufacture or until all solution has been used.
The expiry date can be found at the bottom of the can and carton.
