How we are regulated

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a dry skin condition that’s like eczema, but instead it causes scaly, silvery looking patches of skin when you experience a flare-up. When you have a flare-up of psoriasis, your skin produces cells too quickly, causing a build-up that’s inflamed, itchy, dry and flaky.

Remember, your final treatment will be decided by our prescribers based on your answers provided within your consultation. You will be asked to indicate a preferred treatment option from a selected list after completion of your consult.

How do Psoriasis treatments work?

Most people find that their psoriasis only happens in small patches, but in some people, it can be more widespread. If you have severe psoriasis you may find that it knocks your confidence as you deal with the itchy, painful, scaly skin, so finding a suitable treatment can be invaluable.

Many people with mild to moderate psoriasis find that their condition can be managed with over-the-counter creams or treatments. However, if your symptoms are severe, then you may need a prescription treatment to help reduce inflammation and slow down the production of excess skin cells.

Treatments like emollients and steroid creams can work together to protect your skin from irritants that cause flare-ups and help to manage your symptoms when you experience them.

When you complete a short consultation with our prescribers, they can decide whether a prescription psoriasis medication would be the right option for you. If you’re offered a treatment, it will be delivered quickly and discreetly to your home address.

All orders are shipped in discreet packaging, so you don’t have to worry about any nosy neighbours!
