Eurax Anti-Skin Irritation Cream is used to relieve itching and skin irritation associated with many different symptoms, such as:

 

  • Insect bites or stings
  • Nettle rash
  • Heat rash 
  • Sunburn
  • Eczema or dermatitis 
  • Chickenpox or scabies 

 

How Eurax Anti-Skin Irritation Cream works

Eurax Anti-Skin Irritation Cream contains the active ingredient crotamiton, which has a cooling effect.

It provides relief from itching for 6 to 10 hours. It’s particularly useful for relieving itching after treating scabies with an antiparasitic medicine.

 

Directions

Always use Eurax Anti-Skin Irritation Cream exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 

Apply the product to the affected area 2-3 times daily. If your symptoms persist, consult your doctor. 

 

Side effects

Like all medicines, Eurax Anti-Skin Irritation Cream may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. There are no known reported common side effects of this product. 

If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

 

Serious side effects

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 

 

Warnings

Eurax Anti-Skin Irritation Cream may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Do not use this cream in or around the eyes, on broken skin, inflamed skin, open wounds, or weeping skin. 

If you are suffering from genital itching, only use this product under the direction of your healthcare provider.

 

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before using this product.

 

Age restrictions 

For children under 3 years old, please consult your healthcare provider before using this product on them.

 

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Do not use this cream if you are pregnant.  If breastfeeding, this product should only be used if your healthcare provider advises. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new medicine. 

 

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
