What are dry skin conditions?
There are several dry skin conditions which could leave you looking for a solution to dry, itchy, and irritating skin. They all affect the skin in different ways, but a common symptom is that they dehydrate your skin, leaving it feeling dry, sore, and itchy. Some of the most common dry skin conditions are:
- Eczema
- Dermatitis
- Psoriasis
How does this product help to relieve dry skin conditions?
Isomol Gel contains two active ingredients which both works to soothe dry skin conditions. These ingredients are isopropyl myristate and liquid paraffin, which both help to soften your skin while encouraging rehydration.
Does this product contain irritants?
Isomol Gel is free from several irritants that can aggravate dry skin conditions such as eczema, this gel is:
- Free from soap
- Free from detergents
- Fragrance-free
- Lanolin free
Can I use this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this or any other medication. Some products may not be suitable for you or your child at this time and you may need to use an alternative treatment.
Can I use this gel if I’m taking other medication?
You should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product if you are using any other medication, especially those applied to the skin. Some medications can interact when used together, causing unwanted side effects or making your medication less effective.
How to use Isomol Gel
Apply Isomol Gel to the affected area whenever you need to. Smooth the gel onto your skin in the direction of hair growth, or as directed by your doctor, nurse, or Chemist 4 U pharmacist. Use this product before or after washing or bathing to help to prevent further drying of your skin.
When should Isomol Gel not be used?
Isomol Gel is for external use only, avoid getting this product into your eyes. Keep away from naked flames while using this product, as there is a fire risk. Do not use Isomol Gel on broken, badly inflamed, badly cracked, bleeding, or infected skin. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients.
Does this product have side effects?
Like all medicines, Isomol Gel can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. These include skin reactions where you have used this product. If you experience this or any other side effects while using Isomol Gel, stop using this product and contact your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist immediately. How to store this gel
Store in a cool, dry place. Store in original packaging and do not use once expiration date printed on the packaging has passed. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
