What is Wartex?

Wartex is an ointment that will slowly and painlessly treat your wart until it’s gone for good. It’s the perfect solution for those who want to get rid of a hard or ragged wart but find other treatments, like cryotherapy (freezing), to be too uncomfortable to endure. Wartex can be used by people over the age of 6, making it the perfect wart removal treatment for the whole family.

What are warts?

Warts are small, rough lumps that appear on your skin when you’ve come into contact with a virus. Warts usually appear on your hands, knees, and fingers, and they will usually look and feel different from the healthy skin that surrounds them. They’re completely harmless, but can be sore or itchy and may look unsightly, which is why many people choose to use wart removal treatments. Warts can disappear by themselves, but this can take months or even years, making treatments that speed up the process popular.

How will the salicylic acid in Wartex ointment treat my warts?

Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in Wartex ointment and it treats warts by thinning their thick skin, softening the keratin and loosening the skin cells until the wart is completely gone. It treats your wart slowly over several weeks, making the treatment painless yet effective. Salicylic acid also has antibacterial and antifungal properties that make it perfect for helping to keep the virus that causes warts from spreading to other areas of healthy skin.

How to use this ointment

Apply a little Wartex ointment directly to the wart once a day. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using this product. Once a week you should gently rub the area with a file or pumice stone. Do not share the file or pumice stone with anyone else to prevent the spread of warts. You should see improvement within a few weeks, but complete removal can take up to 12 weeks. If your wart is not gone after 12 weeks of daily treatment you should speak to your doctor for advice.

When should this product not be used?

Wartex is not suitable for use in children under the age of 6. Do not use this ointment if you are allergic to aspirin, salicylic acid or any of the other listed ingredients. This product is not suitable for those who are diabetic or have poor blood circulation or numbness in their hands or feet. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth or other sensitive areas. Do not use this product on:

  • Broken skin
  • Healthy skin
  • Your face, neck, armpits, breasts, bottom, or genitals
  • Moles, birthmarks, soft or hairy warts

Does Wartex have any side effects?

If you notice any pain, irritation, or other side effects while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away.
