What is Bazuka Sub-Zero?
Bazuka Sub-Zero is a powerful freezing treatment designed to quickly freeze warts and verrucas. This works like the cryotherapy treatment doctors use. It contains two ingredients:
- Dimethyl ether
- Liquid propane gas
What are warts and verrucas?
Warts and verrucas are both growths that appear on the skin as a result of a virus. Warts generally appear on the hands and are easily recognisable thanks to the rough appearance on the surface of the skin. Verrucas mostly appear on the foot and are visible because of the white ring that appears around them. Verrucas can be painful.
If left untreated, warts and verrucas can spread, on the body as well as another person.
What is cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is the treatment of benign and malignant tissue by using low temperatures to freeze the infected area and destroy the tissue.
Who is Bazuka Sub-Zero suitable for?
This treatment is suitable for adults and children, aged four and over. Do you use Bazuka Sub-Zero if you:
- Have diabetes
- Suffer from poor blood circulation in your body
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- On sensitive, cut, damaged, grazed, or itchy
- Are using another form of wart and verruca treatment
How do I use Bazuka Sub-Zero?
To use Bazuka Sub-Zero, you must assemble the applicator before use. This is done by inserting one of the 12 included foam applicators into the aerosol can. You then charge the applicator by pressing down for three seconds. You will know it is charged when you hear a hissing sound.
Take care when applying the treatment and only use it on warts and verrucas. The contact time depends on the size of the wart or verruca and the recommended times are:
- For less than 2.5mm – 10 seconds
- In between 2.5mm-5mm – 15 seconds
- Larger than 5mm – 20 seconds
For children between 4-11 and those with sensitive skin, those times should be halved.
Are there side effects to using Bazuka Sub-Zero?
When using Bazuka Sub-Zero there will be some pain or discomfort when using, but this should subside quickly. The treated area will turn white when using the treatment. If any irritation or discomfort persists then should contact your doctor.
Do I need a prescription when buying Bazuka Sub-Zero?
