What is Optrex Night Restore Gel Drops for Dry Irritated Tired Eyes?

This is a gel that works while you sleep to repair and protect the eyes that are causing irritation. It works by restoring the moisture in the eyes and while sleeping, specifically the tear film and supports the repair of the ocular surface. It is safe to use these eye drops every day.

Who are these Optrex Eye Drops suitable for?

These eye drops are suitable to be used by anyone who is suffering from dry eyes and wants relief, particularly when sleeping. This should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients in the eye drops. These are:

  • Sodium Hyaluronate
  • Glycerine
  • Sodium Chloride in an aqueous phosphate buffered system

Can Optrex Night Restore Gel Drops be used by children?

Children aged 12 and over are safe to use these Optrex Eye Drops. For children under the age of 12, it is recommended that you speak to a doctor or pharmacist for the advice of available treatments.

Is it safe to use Optrex Night Restore when pregnant or breastfeeding?

This treatment is not recommended when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Can someone who is using any medication use these Optrex Eye Drops?

If you are using any form of medication, you should consult your doctor before using these eye drops. This is because there is a chance that the ingredients in the eye drops and medication could interfere with each other.

How should Optrex Night Restore Gel Drops for Dry Irritated Tired Eyes be used?

Wash your hands before using. Tilt your head backwards and then place 1-2 drops of the gel in each eye, ideally just before going to sleep. When dropping the solution into the eyes, make sure that the dropper does not come into contact with the eyes. After placing the gel, blink a few times to get the gel covering the whole eye. When using the eye drops on children, ensure they are supervised at all times. After using, leave at least 30 minutes before using any other type of eye treatment.

Are there any side effects?

A side effect will most likely be caused by an allergic reaction. If you experience any side effect, then speak to a doctor as soon as possible. You can also record any side effect using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Our studies show that just 24% of people get the NHS recommended 7-8 hours sleep a night. With a range of factors keeping us up such as stress, partners, noise and caffeine - It’s time to switch up our sleeping habits, as not getting enough Z’s every night can alter our bodies’ much-needed nightly reboot and affect our brain’s capability to problem-solve. We surveyed 2,000 UK-based respondents on questions relating to their sleeping habits.
