Why do dentures break?
Dentures can break for lots of different reasons, with one of the most common causes of broken dentures being natural wear and tear. As you use your dentures every day, they go through stress and pressure which can cause them to break and crack. Dentures can also break if they don’t fit you properly or if you drop them by accident.
How will this product help to repair my dentures?
The Repair-It Denture Repair Kit uses its specially designed denture repair liquid and powder which are mixed together to form a substance that will stick your dentures together. This mixture is strong when it’s thoroughly dried, making it the perfect temporary solution to a broken denture.
How to use the Repair-It Denture Repair Kit
To repair a broken denture, first clean and dry the broken edges of your denture, making sure there are no missing pieces. Mix the denture repair liquid and powder as instructed and use the spatula included to apply a small amount of denture repair mixture to the broken edges of your denture. Fit the broken pieces of the denture together, making sure they are aligned correctly. Press and hold together for 5 minutes, making sure pieces stay aligned. Scrape away excess material and soak denture in hot tap water for 10 minutes. Dry the denture and use sandpaper to smooth any rough spots, wash denture with soap and water. When should the Repair-It Denture Repair Kit not be used?
Do not use Repair-It Denture Repair Kit if you are allergic to methacrylates or any of the other listed ingredients. Do not use this product to repair loose crowns or replace lost fillings. Do not use on a Valplast denture. Avoid contact with skin and do not get into eyes. Do not use repaired denture until repair material is hardened. For temporary emergency repairs only, see your dentist as soon as possible as you may require a new denture.
