What is Corsodyl Chlorhexidine Mint Mouthwash?
Corsodyl Mouthwash is an antibacterial mouthwash that is for treating gum disease and reducing the formation of dental plaque. It is also for use in promoting gum healing after surgery and healing mouth ulcers.
Who is Corsodyl Mouthwash suitable for?
This mouthwash is suitable to be used by adults and children aged 12 and over who want a cleaner mouth that is free from pain. It is not suitable for anyone who is allergic to the ingredients in the mouthwash, which are:
- Chlorhexidine digluconate
- Ethanol
- Macrogolglycerol Hydroxystearate
- Sorbitol (non-crystallising)
- Peppermint oil
- Purified water
Only use in the mouth.
Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this mouthwash?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using Corsodyl.
Can Corsodyl Mouthwash be used with other medication?
It is fine for most medication but there may be issues with some. Speak to your doctor if you are on any medication before using.
How do I use Corsodyl Mouthwash?
To use this mouthwash, fill the included cup up to the 10ml line and rinse the mouth. Do not swallow as it contains alcohol. Use it as when needed.
Are there any side effects?
A side effect is most likely caused by an allergic reaction. If you do notice a side effect, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
