What is Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping? 

Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping is an insect repellant that will ward off those pesky mosquitos and other biting insects while you’re enjoying the great outdoors. This DEET free insect repellent comes in an easy to use pump spray and is specifically formulated to provide active protection from common biting insects found in the UK and Europe. Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping has an insect repellent factor of 3. 

How to use Jungle Formula

You should use Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping in countries with no known risk of malaria or other insect-transmitted diseases. Avoiding the eyes and lips, use the pump spray to apply Jungle Formula to all exposed areas of clean, dry skin. To this insect repellent use on your face, spray into the palm of your hand before applying. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying. 

How does insect repellent work? 

Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping uses the insect repellent called IR3535 (or ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate if you want to get scientific). IR3535 is a synthetic amino acid that affects an insect’s sense of smell. The ingredient is mostly odourless to us humans, but flying bugs can’t stand the smell and they’ll stay far away from you. 

What is the difference between IR3535 and DEET?

IR3535 offers similar protection to DEET, another common ingredient used in insect repellents. While DEET is usually the recommended option for use in countries with a risk of malaria and other insect transmitted diseases, IR3535 is very effective for repelling most species of mosquitoes, ticks and other flying insects here in the UK and in Europe. IR3535 has also been found to be generally more tolerable than DEET, which is known to cause odour and skin irritation in some cases.

Is this product suitable for children? 

Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping is suitable for adults and children over the age of 12 months old. You must not use this insect repellent on infants who are younger than one year old. 

When should this product not be used? 

Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping should not be relied upon in tropical destinations where there is a risk of malaria or other insect transmitted diseases - in this instance, try Jungle Formula Maximum instead. Avoid contact with your eyes, mucous membranes (e.g. mouth, nose, genitals) and damaged skin. 

Are there any side effects?

Jungle Formula Outdoor & Camping can cause serious eye irritation. In the instance of contact with your eyes, remove any contact lenses and rinse your eyes thoroughly with water for several minutes - if the irritation persists seek medical attention as soon as possible. In the unlikely event of any skin reaction, stop using this product and seek medical attention.

Storage information

Store out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
