What is Hydrocortisone 1% Cream?
Hydrocortisone 1% Cream is a treatment for eczema, dermatitis, and inflammation caused by bug bites or stings. It can help to ease your irritated skin, showing improvements after just a few days of use and helping to ease irritating symptoms like itching in the meantime. This product contains three 15g tubes of Hydrocortisone Cream, ideal for those who suffer from regular flare-ups of eczema and want to be prepared to ease their irritated skin when it happens.
What is eczema?
Eczema is a common dry skin condition that can appear all over the body, usually in smaller patches but sometimes in wider spread areas. Eczema usually flares up when your skin comes into contact with something that irritates it, such as harsh soaps or detergents, and this type of eczema is also known as dermatitis. When you have eczema or dermatitis, some of the most common symptoms you’ll experience include:
- Dry skin
- Itching
- Redness
- Blistering
- Cracked skin
How will Hydrocortisone Cream treat my eczema?
Hydrocortisone Cream is a type of medication called a corticosteroid or ‘steroid’ cream. When your skin comes into contact with an irritant, such as a bug bite or harsh soaps that can trigger eczema, your body releases chemicals that cause inflammation, redness, and itching. Hydrocortisone works by blocking these chemicals, reducing inflammation and irritation and easing your eczema flare-up.
