What are Hush Plugz?

Hush Plugz are foam earplugs which are designed to help to reduce the effects of loud noises on your ears. If you spend a lot of time in places with a high noise level, including building sites, concerts, or sporting events, Hush Plugz can help to protect your ears from loud noise.

How does loud noise damage my ears?

When your ears are exposed to loud noises this can cause damage that can lead to loss of hearing. Any sound that is louder that 85 decibels can damage your ears, with some of the most common noises that reach that volume including:

• Busy traffic – reaching 70 – 85 decibels
• Motorbikes – 90 decibels
• Listening to music at full volume – 100 – 110 decibels
• A plane taking off – 120 decibels

As a rule of thumb, if you have to raise your voice to talk to other people over the noise and struggle to hear what they say back then the noise is probably loud enough to damage your hearing.

Hush Plugz earplugs expand to fill your ear canal, moulding to the unique shape of your ear. This helps to block loud noise from entering the ear, reducing the decibel level that enters your inner ear and helping to prevent hearing damage.

How to use Hush Plugz.

Roll your Hush Plugz earplugs between your finger, compressing them into a thin cylinder. Pull the outer ear up and away from the head to open the ear canal and insert the earplug into the ear while it is still compressed. Hold the earplug in place with your finger until it expends and fills the ear canal.

When should Hush Plugz not be used?

Effectiveness of your Hush Plugz may be reduced if you do not follow the instructions included. Do not wash or reuse your earplugs. Dispose of earplugs after use. Do not use Hush Plugz if you are allergic to any of the listed components.
