How Covonia Medicated Sore Throat 5mg/1mg Lozenges works
Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride and lidocaine hydrochloride are the active ingredients in this product.
Chlorhexidine dihydrochloride is an antiseptic. Lidocaine hydrochloride is an anaesthetic which helps to relieve the pain caused by a sore throat.
The action of sucking the lozenge allows the ingredients to work in the area of discomfort. They also help to lubricate and soothe the painful area.
Directions
Always take Covonia Medicated Sore Throat 5mg/1mg Lozenges exactly as described.
Place the lozenge in the mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly.
Adults should take 6-10 lozenges per day when required.
Children should take 3-5 lozenges per day when required.
Side effects
Like all products, Covonia Medicated Sore Throat Lozenges may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody.
Serious side effects
Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness.
Warnings
These lozenges may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take these lozenges if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
These lozenges should not be used for long periods.
They are not recommended for children who have a history of convulsions.
