When is Difflam recommended?

Difflam sore throat oral rinse helps relieve painful and sore throats. The solution can be used as a mouthwash or gargle to relieve swelling and inflammation.

This medicine contains the active ingredient benzydamine hydrochloride. It works by acting as a local anaesthetic and has anti-inflammatory qualities.

Difflam may be used to relieve sore throat symptoms associated with the common cold or conditions such as pharyngitis (inflammation of the pharynx).

How do I use it and how often?

Difflam is an oral rinse that can either be used as a mouthwash, or as a gargle. The below instructions are for your reference only. If you are unsure of how to use this treatment, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Children over the age of 12, adults and elderly are recommended to use 15ml of solution, every 1½ to 3 hours. The pack comes with a measuring cup that you should use to measure your dose.

Swirl the solution around the mouth, or gargle for 20 - 30 seconds. Spit out, do not swallow.

If you accidentally swallow large amounts of Difflam, contact your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible.
