What is Sterimar Cold Defence Nasal Spray?

Sterimar Cold Defence Nasal Spray is a natural nasal spray that can help to limit cold symptoms by washing out impurities in the nose. Its natural formula provides an extra layer of protection against colds by gently cleansing the nasal passages and can help to reduce the risk of ear, nose and throat disorders, such as sinusitis, bronchitis and otitis. Sterimar nasal products are free from steroids, drugs and preservatives, so are suitable for pregnant women and children aged over 3. If you’re looking for a natural way to prevent cold symptoms from developing, try Sterimar Cold Defence Nasal Spray.

What causes a cold?

A cold is a viral infection that causes mild symptoms which usually affect the nose, throat, sinuses and upper airways. It’s a very common illness that most people will experience at least once a year and it usually disappears on its own after a week or so. Common symptoms of a cold include:

  • A sore throat
  • A blocked or runny nose
  • Sneezing
  • A cough
  • Feeling fatigued or generally under the weather

Less common cold symptoms include:

  • A high temperature (fever)
  • A headache
  • Earache
  • Muscle pain
  • Loss of taste and smell
  • Mild irritation in and around your eyes
  • A feeling of pressure in your ears and face

Cold symptoms tend to develop gradually and are usually at their worst during the first 2 - 3 days before they start to improve. Symptoms are usually mild and you should be well enough to go about your day to day life.

How does Sterimar Nasal Spray work?

Sterimar Cold Defence is an isotonic sea water solution that is made from 100% natural purified sea water, which is enriched with copper. It helps to limit common cold symptoms and can reduce the risk of ear, nose and throat disorders. As the solution is completely natural, it doesn’t contain any steroids, drugs or preservatives, it is suitable for all the family including pregnant women and children over the age of 3. Sterimar is backed by 40 years of expertise in nasal health and is the UK’s number 1 GP recommended brand for nasal conditions. Sterimar products are inspired by nature and created using specially monitored sea water. As it is drug-free, it is unlikely to interfere with other medications - although it is always recommended to speak to your doctor before using any pharmaceutical products if you are taking medication.

  • Prime the spray by spritzing the nozzle
  • Insert the nozzle into one nostril
  • Press briefly without tilting your head backwards or sniffing
  • Blow your nose
  • Repeat in the other nozzle

Clean the nozzle after application with soapy water, rinse and dry. Use as often as required or as recommended by your doctor.
