What is Snowfire Ointment?

Snowfire Ointment is an emollient stick which helps to soothe dry skin. It’s perfect for when you’re suffering from chapped hands, chilblains, or other dry skin conditions. The handy stick formula makes this ointment perfect for use on the go, ideal for those who are out and about, facing harsh weather conditions.

Why do I have dry skin?

There are many reasons why your skin may become dry and uncomfortable. For example, you may have a dry skin condition, such as eczema or psoriasis, which can flare up when you come into contact with certain irritants or allergens. You can also experience dry skin if you’re dehydrated or have been exposed to extreme weather conditions, such as hot, cold, wet, or windy weather.

How will this ointment help to soothe my dry skin?

Snowfire Ointment uses a blend of natural essential oils to create an ointment which works as an emollient. Emollients work by moisturising the skin, keeping it soft and hydrated and easing symptoms such as itching. When you use an emollient, a barrier is formed over your skin, keeping moisture in while protecting from outside irritants, this helps to soothe dry skin.

Can I use this product if I’m taking other medication?

If you are taking other medication, especially those applied topically to the skin, you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product. Some products may interact when used together, making your medication less effective or causing unwanted side effects. A medical professional can help you to avoid this.

How to use Snowfire Ointment?

There are two ways to apply Snowfire Ointment. Firstly, you can soak your hands or feet in warm water and then apply the ointment to the area, gently rubbing in until absorbed. If this method isn’t right for you, you can apply this ointment to a bandage or some lint and apply to the affected area. You can use both of these methods as often as needed.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use Snowfire Ointment if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients. This product is for external use only, keep out of contact with eyes or mucous membranes, such as the inside of the mouth or nostrils. Do not apply to broken, bleeding, or infected skin or otherwise sensitive areas.

Does this ointment have any side effects?

Like many products, Snowfire Ointment can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. This includes allergic reactions to the ingredients in this product. If you experience any side effects while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting the side effects of medication, please see the MHRA’s Yellow Card site.
