What is Sno* Tears?
Sno* Tears is a lubricant treatment for dry eyes which works as a substitute for natural tears, helping to relieve symptoms like dryness, itchiness and redness. Sno* Tears can also be used by those with artificial eyes.
How to use Sno* Tears
Always use Sno* Tears exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. Unless your doctor has told you differently, the standard dose is to place one or two drops of the solution in the corner of the eye, nearest the nose, as often as required during the day.
How does polyvinyl alcohol relieve dry eyes?
Polyvinyl alcohol eye drops are also known as ‘artificial tears’, used to relieve discomfort, itchiness and redness associated with dry eyes caused by a lack of natural tears. Polyvinyl alcohol will act as a lubricant on the surface of the eye, helping to moisten and soothe.
When should this product not be used?
Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If Sno* tears is used at the same time as other eye treatments, there should be an interval of approximately 15 minutes between use of these medications and Sno* tears should always be the last. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Are there any side effects?
Sno* Tears is unlikely to cause significant side effects. You may notice blurriness and mild stinging after applying these eye drops, but these side effects shouldn’t last more than a few minutes. If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
Storage information
Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
