What is acne?
Acne is a common skin condition which causes oily skin and breakouts of spots. When you have acne, you’re most likely to get breakouts on your face, back, or chest, with it being most common on the face. Acne happens when the natural oils on your skin block your pores, causing inflammation that you’d recognise as a spot. It can be hereditary, meaning that if someone else in your family has it you probably will too, but it can also be caused by hormonal changes, such as those during puberty, pregnancy, or your menstrual cycle.

What is Acne? Your Questions Answered
Spot break outs always seem to happen at the worst possible moment, just before a first date, the day you’re getting your photo taken, all of those wonderful occasions when you could really do with not having a huge spot between your eyes.
But do you just have a few spots, or are you suffering with acne?
What is the difference between Acnecide 5% Wash Gel - 100g and the 50g face wash treatment? Is it just the size variation of 50g and 100g, or is it used differently?
Acnecide Face Wash and Acnecide Wash Gel are very similar products and they work in the same way.
However, Acnecide Face Wash should only be used to treat mild breakouts of acne on your face, whereas Acnecide Wash Gel can be used to treat breakouts on your chest, back, or anywhere else on the body.
This change in the formula means that you don't need to answer any pharmaceutical questions before you can but Acnecide Face Wash, which may make it a better choice for those who only suffer from mild acne on their face.
