What is Frador mouth ulcer treatment?

Frador is a treatment for mouth ulcers, forming a protective barrier over the area to prevent irritation as they heal. Mouth ulcers can take around 2 weeks to heal by themselves, but this product can help to protect the area from bacteria and food as it does so. Frador is ideal for those looking for a way to ease discomfort caused by mouth ulcers as they wait for the healing process to take its course.

What are mouth ulcers?

Mouth ulcers are common sores that can form inside your mouth or on your tongue. They’re harmless and will usually clear up on their own, but they can be very irritating as you wait for them to heal. Mouth ulcers can cause pain or irritation when you eat, drink, or talk, which is why many people turn to protective treatments that ease their irritation as the ulcer heals.

How will Frador treat my mouth ulcers?

Frador contains an active ingredient called chlorbutol and it works by protecting your mouth ulcer as it heals. The solution forms a protective covering over the area, keeping saliva, bacteria, and food away from the ulcer, easing irritation. This gives the area the space it needs to heal, and you should usually see results within just a few days.

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant?

Frador is not suitable for use during pregnancy. If you’re pregnant and suffering from mouth ulcers ask your doctor or pharmacist to recommend a more suitable treatment for you.

How to use this product

Before use, stand the bottle in the tray provided and remove the cap. Dry the mouth ulcer. Using the applicators included, apply Frador directly to the mouth ulcer. You may feel a temporary tingling sensation. Open your mouth for several seconds to give the solution time to dry. Do this 4 times a day after meals and before going to bed until the ulcer is healed.

When should this treatment not be used?

Frador is not suitable for use in children. Do not use this product if you are allergic to chlorbutol or any of the other listed ingredients. For use on mouth ulcers only, avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas. Keep this product away from naked flames or sources of ignition.

Does Frador have any side effects?

Like all medications, Frador can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These include allergic reactions to the listed ingredients. If you experience these or any other side effects while using this product, stop use and speak to your doctor or pharmacist right away. For more information about reporting the side effects of medication, please see the MHRA’s Yellow Card Scheme.
