How NiQuitin Minis Mint 2mg - 100 Lozenges works

NiQuitin Minis Mint 2mg - 100 Lozenges work by replacing the nicotine that you would usually get from a cigarette. 

The nicotine in the lozenges reduce your cravings for cigarettes. It also relieves some of the unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. 

 

Directions

Always use NiQuitin Minis Mint 2mg - 100 Lozenges exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 

Put one lozenge in your mouth and move it around until it has completely dissolved. It should take around 10 minutes for the lozenge to fully dissolve. 

Do not chew or swallow the lozenge whole. 

Do not use more than 15 lozenges a day. 

 

Side effects

NiQuitin Minis Mint 2mg - 100 Lozenges may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include: 

 

  • Sore or irritated mouth or tongue
  • Sore throat 
  • Stomach discomfort 
  • Diarrhoea 
  • Indigestion
  • Heartburn
  • Flatulence

Serious side effects

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 

 

Warnings

NiQuitin Minis Mint 2mg may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you are a non-smoker.

Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before using this product if: 

 

  • You are in hospital because you have had a heart attack, severe heart rhythm disturbances or a stroke
  • You have diabetes 
  • You have serious kidney or liver problems 
  • You have stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, inflammation of the oesophagus or gullet
  • You have ever experienced seizures

 

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before using this product.

Quitting smoking can alter the effects of other medications you are taking.

 

Age restrictions 

This product is not suitable for anyone under 12 years old. If children use this product they are at risk of toxicity which can be fatal. 

 

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant then it is best to give up without the use of a smoking aid. If it is too difficult to quit, it is safer to use a smoking aid to help. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new product.

 

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
