What is Med-Easy?

Med-Easy is a liquid which makes it easier for you to swallow medication. If you have difficulty swallowing medications and are looking for a solution that will help you out fast, Med-Easy can help. With its light texture and cherry flavour will help you to swallow any kind of solid medication that you need to take, simply and easily.

Why do I have trouble swallowing (dysphagia)?

People have trouble swallowing, also known as dysphagia, for a number of different reasons. Some people suffering with medical problems such as a stroke, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, or cancer could struggle to swallow. Different medications can cause dry mouth, which can also make it much more difficult to swallow. Your age can also be a factor, with children and young adults and people over the age of 60 all commonly struggling to swallow medications. Add in general pill anxiety, and you could be struggling to swallow your medication for any number of reasons.

What medications can I take with Med-Easy?

Med-Easy makes it easy to swallow lots of different types of solid dose medications. This includes:

  • Medical pills, tablets, and liquid filled capsules.
  • Vitamin preparations.
  • Food supplements.
  • Other solid dosage forms intended to be swallowed.

How does Med-Easy make swallowing medication easier?

Med-Easy helps your medication to pass through your oesophagus (or food pipe) and into the stomach. It wraps around your medication, suspending it in liquid and helping the medication to flow down your oesophagus freely.

How to use Med-Easy.

Med-Easy can help you to take medication in just three simple steps:

  • Step 1 – place your medication on the spoon.
  • Step 2 – Add 10ml dose of Med-Easy to the spoon, covering the medication.
  • Step 3 – Take the medication, drinking water afterwards if necessary or recommended in the patient information leaflet for your medication.

When should Med-Easy not be used?

Med-Easy is not suitable for use by anyone under the age of 2. Med-Easy is not recommended for use by those who do not have severe swallowing difficulties.
