What is Lyclear Sensitive?

Lyclear Sensitive is a head lice treatment that is gentle on the hair and scalp when it comes to treating a head lice infestation. It works with just one application. The treatment contains the active ingredient Oxyphthirine, which helps to kill the head lice by suffocating and dehydrating them. It also penetrates the eggs and stops them from growing.

What causes a head lice infestation?

A head lice infestation is likely to be caused by spreading from one person to another. This is done when people come into contact with each other, in particular, touching heads. Head lice can also spread as a result of sharing a comb or a brush, as well as other items such as a hat, headphones, or a towel.

Who is this Lyclear solution suitable for?

This treatment is suitable to be used by adults and children aged 6 months and over. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the solution. Anyone who is using any other form of medication should speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this Lyclear Sensitive treatment?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should seek advice from a medical professional before using any form of treatment for head lice.

How should Lyclear Sensitive be used?

Before using the solution, comb the hair to find any lice and eggs. Clean the comb afterwards to avoid re-infestation. Put a towel around the shoulders and apply enough of the solution to cover all of the hair and scalp. Massage it into the scalp and then leave it for 8 hours, or on overnight. It is important to do this for the treatment to work. Afterwards, wash the hair as normal and use the comb again to find any more lice and eggs in the hair.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. An allergic reaction may include a skin rash or irritation. If you notice a side effect, speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. You can also record a side effect that you notice using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
