What is Prevalin Allergy Kids?

Prevalin Allergy Kids is a nasal spray that can help to ease your child’s hay fever and allergy symptoms. It’s a drug-free remedy that’s perfect for kids who suffer with a runny nose, sneezing, or a blocked nose when they have hay fever. If you’re looking for a hay fever treatment that’s easy to use and is designed with kids in mind, then Prevalin could be the perfect solution.

Why does my child have hay fever?

When your child experiences hay fever, it’s because they’re allergic to a substance pollen, which is created by flowers, trees, and other plants. When your child comes into contact with pollen, their body produces a natural substance called histamine, which tells different parts of body to remove the irritating pollen. This causes symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, itching, and a blocked or runny nose.

How will Prevalin Allergy Kids help to treat my child’s hay fever?

Prevalin Allergy Kids works by coating the inside of your nose with a micro gel layer that helps to keep pollen and other irritants from triggering an allergic reaction inside your nose. It also helps to neutralise pollen or allergens that are already inside your nose, letting them move through your system and easing your symptoms fast.

Can I use this product if my child is taking other medication?

Prevalin Allergy Kids is not currently known to interact with any other medications. However, if your child is taking any other medication, including those obtained without a prescription, you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product, to be sure that they are safe to use together.

Can adults use this product?

Prevalin Allergy Kids is designed for kids aged 6 – 12, and provides a lower dose than typical adult nasal sprays. If you’re an adult and want to use a similar product, we’d recommend looking into Prevalin Allergy or Prevalin Allergy Plus, to see if they’re suitable for you.

How to use this nasal spray

Blow your nose thoroughly before each application. Before using Prevalin Allergy Kids, shake the bottle vigorously. Remove the transparent cap from the bottle and then tilt the head forward and insert the tip of the bottle into the nose, while keeping the bottle upright. Press down on the pump to spray the bottle 1 – 2 times, then repeat in the other nostril. Tilt the head back briefly and then breathe normally through the nose. Do this 2 – 3 times a day, each application should work for up to 6 hours.

When should this product not be used?

Prevalin Allergy Kids should not be used by children under the age of 6 or over the age of 12. Do not use this product if your child is allergic to any of the listed ingredients. For use as a nasal spray only, avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas. Use only as directed by a medical professional or in the manufacturer’s instructions.
