How should I take these tablets?

For short-term diarrhoea, adults and children over 12 should take two tablets to start treatment, and then one tablet after each loose bowel movement. You must not take Imodium Instant Melts for attacks that last longer than 48 hours, and you must not take more than 6 tablets in a 24 hour period.
Only adults over 18 that have been medically diagnosed with IBS should use Imodium Instant to treat diarrhoea caused by IBS. You can use Imodium Instant Melts for up to 2 weeks for repeated attacks, however you must not take this medicine for any one attack that lasts longer than 48 hours. You must not take more than 6 tablets in a 24 hour period.
