What are Wind-Eze Soft Gel Capsules?

Wind-Eze soft Gel Caps are an anti-flatulence treatment that dispenses the tiny bubbles in the trapped wind, helping to prevent embarrassment.

What causes bloating?

Bloating in the stomach, including trapped wind, is mainly caused by the food that you eat. Foods that are hard to digest are more likely to cause trapped wind. Swallowing air is another cause of trapped wind, and swallowing air is usually done when talking while eating. Sitting down when eating and not having fizzy drinks can reduce the chance of trapped wind. Conditions such as constipation can also cause bloating and trapped wind.

Who are Wind-Eze Gel Caps suitable for?

These capsules are suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. They are not suitable for anyone who is allergic to the ingredients in the capsules. These are:

  • Simeticone
  • Gelatin
  • Glycerol
  • Titanium Dioxide (E171)
  • Purified Water

You should also not use these capsules if you are currently taking any mineral oil (paraffin) based laxatives.

Are these capsules suitable for someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

It recommended that you speak to your doctor before using these capsules.

Can I use other types of medication when using Wind-Eze?

Caution should be taken when using other medication, particularly treatment for a thyroid disorder because the ingredients in Wind-Eze Gel Caps can weaker ingredients in other types of medication.

How many Wind-Eze Gel Caps should I take a day?

You should take 1 capsule with water between 3-4 times a day, ideally at meal times and before bedtime.

Are there any side effects?

If you do notice any side effect, then you should contact your doctor as soon as possible. You can also report any side effect using the MHRA's Yellow Card Scheme

How to take Wind-eze Gel Caps
Adults and children aged 12 years and over:
Swallow 1 capsule with a drink of water 3 or 4 times daily after meals and at bedtime as needed. Not recommended for children under 12 years.

Pregnancy and breast feeding
You can take Wind-eze Gel Caps while pregnant or breast feeding.
Soft gel capsule of oral administration containing: Simethicone 125mg.
Side effects with paracetamol are rare but should you experience skin rash or other side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not take this product if you have known hypersensitivity. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
