What are Setlers Antacid Peppermint Tablets?

Setlers Antacid Tablets are a treatment for the effects of indigestion and heartburn. These tablets contain the active ingredient calcium carbonate, which is an antacid. An antacid is a substance that provides relief by neutralising the stomach acid that is responsible for the symptoms. This is done thanks to the alkaline ions in the antacid that balance out the pH level of the stomach acid.

What causes indigestion?

Indigestion is a common condition that can affect anyone, regardless of age. It is mostly felt as a result of eating and drinking. Indigestion causes a number of symptoms that result in pain and discomfort. These symptoms include:

  • Heartburn
  • Feeling full or bloated
  • Nausea
  • Belching
  • Flatulence
  • Bringing up food or a bitter taste

Stomach ache and back pain are not caused by indigestion. If you are suffering from those, then it is likely that you are experiencing constipation. Other causes of indigestion are smoking, alcohol, and certain medicines. Stomach ulcers and stomach cancer can also be the cause of indigestion.
