What is Scholl Fungal Nail Treatment?

Scholl Fungal Nail Treatment is a once a week treatment for fungal nail infections. It treats your infection and keeps it from spreading, letting the infection grow out so a healthy nail can grow in its place. This once-weekly treatment is perfect for those who don’t have time to treat their infection every day.

What are fungal nail infections?

Fungal nail infections happen when the natural fungi that live on your skin are given the perfect conditions in which to thrive. These fungi thrive in warm, moist conditions, meaning that sweaty socks or gym shoes are the perfect places for fungal nail infections to start. When you have a fungal nail infection you may notice that your nail becomes discoloured, brittle, and may break off completely if left untreated.

How will this product treat my fungal nail infection?

The nail lacquer included in your Scholl Fungal Nail Treatment contains the active ingredient amorolfine. Amorolfine is an antifungal ingredient, which means that it kills the fungi that cause fungal infections. This treats your infection at its source and keeps it from spreading to other nails.

  • Before using this product for the first time, file down the infected areas of your nail using the nail files provided, taking care to protect any healthy nail in the process. Do not allow anyone else to use your nail file, as this can spread the infection.
  • Use the swabs provided to clean the surface of your nail, this will remove any lacquer you’ve used earlier. Keep hold of the swab to clean the applicator after you’ve used it.
  • Apply the lacquer evenly over the entire surface of the nail using one of the reusable applicators.
  • Clean your reusable applicator with the swab you used to clean the surface of your nail earlier. Be sure to do this after every application to avoid the spread of infection.
