What is Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack?

Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack is a mouth spray that can help you to quit smoking while automatically tracking your progress in a handy smartphone app. If you’re trying to stop smoking and find that your motivation goes out the window as your cravings kick in, the QuickMist SmartTrack system can help to reduce your cravings and keep you motivated as you see how far you’ve come in your journey. It can also be used alongside a personalised quit smoking programme to help you stay on track and track your smoke-free days and the money you’ve saved since quitting.

What is the Nicorette Stop Smoking app?

The Nicorette Stop Smoking app is a smartphone app available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. It connects with your Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack spray with just a tap, tracking how much you’ve used the spray and when. This matches up with your personalised quit smoking programme to keep you on track, offering helpful tips and support that can keep you going strong when the going gets tough.

Which smartphones can use the app?

The Nicorette Stop Smoking app can be used with iPhones that use iOS 11 and above, meaning that iPhone 7 and above should be able to use the app. Most of the latest android phones are compatible with this app, no matter which manufacturer they come from. However, if you’re unsure whether your phone is compatible you should check your phones settings to see if it supports a function called NFC (near field communication) and that this function is turned on.

How will Nicorette SmartTrack help me to quit smoking?

Nicorette SmartTrack is designed to be used with the Nicorette app, which provides you with a personalised quit smoking plan that can help you to quit for good. Your NRT mouthspray connects with the app to track your nicotine intake, letting you see how close you are to hitting your personalised goals, any time anywhere. Nicorette SmartTrack users are 2.5 times more likely to quit smoking when compared with those who use willpower alone, increasing your chances of quitting completely.

What is the difference between Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack and Nicorette QuickMist?

Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack and Nicorette QuickMist are very similar products, both working as NRT mouth sprays, and the biggest difference between the two is the app connectivity. SmartTrack products can connect with the Nicorette Stop Smoking app to track your progress as you quit, while the regular QuickMist mouth sprays cannot. Another small difference to note is that Quickmist products are currently available in Freshmint and Cool Berry flavours, while SmartTrack is currently only available in Freshmint flavour.

What is NRT (nicotine replacement therapy)?

Nicotine replacement therapy, or NRT, is a treatment used to help you quit smoking for good. NRT products like Nicorette Quickmist contain nicotine, which is the addictive substance in cigarettes, and when you use NRT you effectively replace your cigarettes. This helps to reduce the cravings and withdrawal symptoms you can experience when you quit smoking, making it easier for you to cut down or quit completely.

Can I use this product if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding you should try to quit smoking without using NRT and you should try to quit completely right away. However, if you’re struggling to do this then you may be able to use NRT products like this one as a safer alternative to cigarettes. However, you should speak to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist before using this product, to make sure it’s the best decision for you.

Can I use this product if I’m taking other medication?

If you’re taking any other medications you should speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack. This especially applies if you are already taking:

  • Theophylline

  • Clozapine

  • Ropinirole

How to use this product

Point the nozzle towards your open mouth, holding the spray as close to your mouth as possible. Press down on the top of the dispenser to deposit one Nicorette QuickMist spray into your mouth, avoiding getting the spray down your throat. Use one spray when you would usually smoke a cigarette or when you have cravings to smoke. If your cravings don’t go away within a few minutes you can use a second spray. To begin with, most smokers will need 1 - 2 sprays every 30 minutes to 1 hour. Over time, you should reduce the amount of sprays you use a day until you can stop using the spray and stop smoking completely. Do not use more than 2 sprays per dose or 64 sprays a day. When you’ve used your Nicorette QuickMist SmartTrack spray, hold it against your phone to send the information about your dosage to the Nicorette Stop Smoking app. This will help you to track your progress as you quit smoking completely.
