Buy finasteride and Regaine (minoxidil) hair loss bundle
This hair loss bundle is a combination of two clinically proven medical hair loss treatments: 1mg finasteride tablets and Regaine topical minoxidil 5% spray.
Both treatments are designed to help men who are suffering from male pattern baldness, and support those with a receding hairline.
How do finasteride and Regaine work to treat hair loss?
Despite both treating male pattern baldness and encouraging hair growth, the finasteride and minoxidil work in different ways. This is what makes it a safe and effective hair loss treatment.
Finasteride is a type of medicine known as a ‘5-alpha reductase inhibitor’.
This means it stops the enzyme (reductase) that turns testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone involved in male pattern hair loss. DHT reduces the growth phase of your hair until you no longer grow hair, so less DHT means more hair.
How minoxidil works, on the other hand, is a bit less understood. We know minoxidil is a vasodilator, meaning that it widens blood vessels. When it’s applied to your scalp, it’s thought that it widens the blood vessels and allows for more nutrients and oxygen to reach your hair follicles, which stimulates growth.
Is it safe to use both together?
Yes, it’s safe to use these treatments together as they both work to support hair growth in different ways.
Finasteride works by blocking certain processes that can cause male pattern hair loss, while minoxidil focuses on widening blood vessels in the scalp.
Who can use this bundle?
Finasteride is not licensed for use in people assigned female at birth. Because of this, the bundle should only be used by those assigned male at birth.
The reason for this is finasteride can affect androgens (male hormones, like testosterone), which can potentially cause birth defects in male babies.
How effective is finasteride and minoxidil?
Finasteride and minoxidil are both proven to be effective medical treatments for helping with hair loss in men.
Finasteride is very effective at preventing hair loss in men. In fact, studies have shown that, with consistent use, it’s 90% effective at treating hair loss. Minoxidil is also proven to be a very effective option for many men experiencing genetic hair loss, with around 60% of users see visible regrowth or a slowing of hair loss.
However, a study from 2015 showed that they are most effective when used as a combination in treating men with androgenetic alopecia (AGA).
How long does it take to work?
Most people start to notice a reduction in hair shedding within 3-6 months of using finasteride and Regaine topical minoxidil spray together.
Visible regrowth or thicker hair is more commonly seen after around 6-12 months. Results vary from person to person, and continued use is needed to maintain any benefits.
How to use your hair loss bundle
Your bundle works best when both treatments are used exactly as directed.
Finasteride should be taken:
- as a single 1mg tablet once daily
- with or without food
- at the same time each day
Regaine 5% spray should be applied:
- directly to dry areas of the scalp twice daily
- once in the morning and once in the evening
- on a clean and dry scalp
What happens if you miss a dose?
If you miss a dose of finasteride, take it as soon as you remember on the same day. If it’s nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed tablet and carry on as normal. Don’t take two tablets at once.
If you forget to apply Regaine, simply apply your next dose at the usual time. Missing an occasional dose isn’t likely to cause problems, but regular use gives the best results.
Side effects of finasteride and Regaine
Like any other medications, finasteride and Regaine topical minoxidil spray may cause side effects in some people. As this bundle includes two different treatments, you may get side effects from one, but not another.
Additionally, the side effects from both treatments appear differently too. Because it’s taken orally, side effects from finasteride tend to appear throughout the body, whereas minoxidil side effects tend to only appear in the area it’s been applied.
Finasteride side effects
Finasteride is generally well tolerated in most people who take it, and clinical trials suggest that side effects are quite uncommon. However, for those who do get side effects, they may include:
- erectile dysfunction
- lower sex drive
- issues with ejaculation
- mood changes including depression
- heart palpitations or a rapid heartbeat
Additionally, a minority of people taking finasteride may experience a phenomenon called post-finasteride syndrome. This is where these side effects can occur for some time even after the treatment has been stopped.
Regaine (minoxidil) side effects
The active ingredient of Regaine, minoxidil, may rarely cause side effects in those who use it, but it's generally well tolerated. Common minoxidil side effects include:
- redness
- skin irritation
- rash
When to seek medical help
You should speak to a healthcare professional if you experience side effects that are severe, persistent, or worrying. This includes:
- ongoing sexual side effects
- mood changes
- chest pain
- swelling of the hands or feet
- a rapid or irregular heartbeat
If you have signs of an allergic reaction, like severe rash, swelling of the face or lips, or difficulty breathing, seek urgent medical help.
Who should avoid finasteride and Regaine?
This treatment bundle is not suitable for everyone, for example:
- if you are allergic to finasteride, minoxidil, or any of the other ingredients
- people assigned female at birth, especially those who are pregnant or may become pregnant are not suitable for treatment with finasteride
- if you have a scalp condition like severe eczema, psoriasis, infection, or broken skin, then Regaine is not suitable
How to store your treatment
Store finasteride tablets in the original packaging at room temperature, away from moisture and direct heat.
Regaine should also be kept at room temperature and away from direct sunlight or open flames, as it's flammable.
Always keep both treatments out of reach of children and never use them after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
Alternatives to finasteride and Regaine
If finasteride and Regaine aren’t suitable for you, there are other options available.
These include using minoxidil alone, changing to a different minoxidil formulation like foam, or exploring non‑medicated options like low‑level laser therapy.
Some people also choose to undergo treatments, like hair transplants, depending on the severity of hair loss and personal preference.
