What is Doublebase Dayleve Gel?

Doublebase Dayleve Gel is a protective treatment for dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. It’s a long-lasting product, which is perfect for those who don’t have time to reapply treatments throughout the day. This gel helps to keep moisture locked into your skin, hydrating dry skin and easing symptoms such as itching or redness.

What is eczema?

Eczema is a dry skin condition that is extremely common, especially in children. Many people who suffer with eczema when they’re younger find that they grow out of it, but others may experience eczema for the first time as an adult. Eczema usually affects smaller patches of skin, but can be more widespread over the body. Some of the most common symptoms of eczema include:

  • Dry skin
  • Cracked skin
  • Redness
  • Soreness
  • Inflammation
  • Itching

How can Doublebase Dayleve Gel help me to manage my dry skin?

This gel contains two emollients which work together to hydrate and protect your skin, isopropyl myristate and liquid paraffin. They form a protective layer over the skin which helps to keep moisture locked in, hydrating your skin from the inside out. They also help to protect your skin from the affects of irritants, such as soap, which can dry out or irritate sensitive skin.

Can I use this product if I’m taking other medication?

Doublebase Dayleve Gel is not known to interact with other medications, however, you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this product if you are taking other medication. If a medical professional tells you that it is safe to use this product with your other medication and this medicine is applied to the same area of skin, be sure to leave time between applying each product so they both have time to work effectively.

Can I use this gel if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding you should speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using this or any other medication. This gel is suitable to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but a medical professional may wish to recommend another product which may be more suitable for you.

How to use Doublebase Dayleve Gel

Apply Doublebase Dayleve Gel to the affected areas of your skin as often as required. Gently smooth the gel over the skin, following the direction of hair growth. Do not rub into the skin and allow the gel to soak in if required.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use Doublebase Dayleve Gel if you are allergic to isopropyl myristate, liquid paraffin, or any of the other listed ingredients. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas. This product contains paraffin, which is a very effective emollient but can increase the flammability of clothing, dressings, or other fabrics it comes into contact with. Keep away from naked flames, lit cigarettes, or any other source of ignition while using this product and remember to change dressings or clothing regularly.

Does this gel have any side effects?

Like all medication, Doublebase Dayleve Gel can have side effects, although not everyone will experience them. These include:
