What is Dermal Psoriderm Emulsion 40% W/V Bath Additive?

This Psoriderm Bath Additive is a treatment that is added to the bath to provide relief for two types of psoriasis, sub-acute and chronic plaque psoriasis. The active ingredient in this bath additive is distilled coal tar, which works by stopping itching and promoting normal skin cell production.

What is the cause of sub-acute or chronic plaque psoriasis?

Any type of psoriasis is caused by skin cells being replaced too quickly, which causes an excess of skin and also irritation on the skin. The actual reason for this is unknown at this time, but research conducted has led to the belief that the cause of the condition is the immune system. In the immune system, there are T-cells which are cells that move around the body and fight infections and bacteria. However, in people who have psoriasis, these cells attack healthy skin cells as well. This is believed to be the trigger for psoriasis. Other potential causes for the condition include genetics, people with a family history of the condition are more likely to get it, and also external factors like injury, smoking, stress, and alcohol. Hormonal changes can be also a cause.

Who is this bath additive suitable for?

This bath additive is suitable to be used by adults and children for the relief of psoriasis. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the solution. Do not use if you have a type of psoriasis that feels and looks sore, or on pustular psoriasis, which has pus-filled blisters.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this bath additive?

This product should be suitable to be used by someone pregnant or breastfeeding without problems. If you are unsure, then consult a medical professional for advice.

How should Dermal Psoriderm Emulsion 40% W/V Bath Additive be used?

To use this bath additive, add 30ml to a bath of water. Soak in it for 5 minutes then gently pat the skin dry with a towel. Use it when it is needed.

Are there any side effects?
