What is Curanail nail polish?

Curanail Nail Lacquer is a treatment for fungal nail infections which can be used on both fingernails and toenails. It is applied like a simple nail lacquer and works to clear up fungal nail infections until a healthy nail has grown back. Curanail was previously known as Loceryl Curanail.

What are fungal nail infections?

Fungal nail infections happen when fungi are given the right environment in which to grow beneath your nail, infecting your nail bed. This fungus thrives in warm, moist areas, making sweaty socks or poorly ventilated shoes the perfect place for it to live. Fungal nail infections are common and can be treated easily, but treatment can take a few weeks to a few months to complete.

Is Curanail Nail Lacquer right for me?

If you’re looking for a simple solution to fungal nail infections that will only need a few applications every week, Curanail could be the product for you. It dries in just 3 minutes, so you can get on with your day quickly and easily, and let your infection take care of itself.

How does Curanail Nail Lacquer work?

Curanail Nail Lacquer contains an antifungal ingredient called amorolfine, which targets and kills the fungi that can cause nail infections. It is applied like a simple nail lacquer and works to clear up fungal nail infections until a healthy nail has grown back.

Can I wear regular nail polish while I’m using this product?

Curanail Nail Lacquer will still work when applied under cosmetic nail varnish, making it perfect for those who enjoy painting their nails and don’t want to let an infection get in their way. Once you’ve applied your Loceryl nail lacquer, wait for at least 10 minutes and then apply your regular nail varnish as usual. You should not use artificial nails while you are using this product.

Can I use this product while I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

Do not use Curanail Nail Lacquer if you are pregnant, are likely to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding unless told otherwise by your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist. Some medication can be harmful to you and your baby during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so be sure to speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using any medication, including this one.

How to use Curanail Nail Lacquer

To treat a fungal nail infection, use Curanail Nail Lacquer once a week. If you are treating a fingernail, you will need to use this treatment for six months, if you are treating a toenail you will need to use Curanail Nail Lacquer for nine to twelve months. Detailed instructions for how to treat any nail are included in the product leaflet.

  • Before using this product for the first time, file down your infected nail using the nail file provided. Do not use this nail file on healthy nails, as it could spread the infection from your infected nail.
  • Clean your nail using one of the swabs provided
  • Dip the applicator into the bottle of Curanail nail lacquer and apply evenly over the surface of the infected nail.
  • Let your nail dry for approximately 3 minutes.
  • Clean the reusable applicator after use, using the same swab you used to clean your nail before treatment. Then dispose of the swab carefully.
  • Remove any old nail lacquer and nail varnish before using this product again.

When should Curanail Nail Lacquer not be used?

Curanail Nail Lacquer should not be used by anyone under the age of 18. Do not use Curanail Nail Lacquer if you are allergic to amorolfine or any of the other listed ingredients. Do not apply this product to the skin around your nail. For external use only, avoid contact with eyes, ears, and mucous membranes, such as your mouth and nostrils. Do not inhale.
