What is Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula? 

Don’t suffer on with your cold and flu symptoms – choose Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula to relieve your discomfort, from aches and pains, headache, blocked nose and sinuses, sore throat and dry and chesty coughs. Covonia works fast to get you back to yourself in no time.

 

How to use this product

Always take Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. For adults, the elderly and children over 16 years of age, take 20ml up to 4 times per day. For children aged 12-16 years, take 15 ml up to 4 times per day. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 4 doses in a 24 hour period. 

 

What is the best remedy for a cold? 

When you’ve got a cold, all you’ll want is to get better as soon as possible so you can get back to normal. If you want to get better quickly, you’ll need to get plenty of rest and sleep, keep yourself warm and drink plenty of water. 

 

Thankfully, there are also lots of effective treatments available that can ease your symptoms in the meantime. These include paracetamol, ibuprofen, nasal decongestants, vapour rubs, and cough medicines if necessary. Always check the label of your cough or cold remedy to make sure you don’t take too much, especially if you’ve been taking any other medicines. 

 

Is Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula suitable for children? 

Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula is not suitable for children under the age of 12. If you’re looking for a cold and flu treatment for a child under the age of 12, speak to your GP or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice on alternative treatment options.

 

Is Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women? 

Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant. If you use it while breastfeeding, some drugs in this medicine will be present, in small amounts, in your milk. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must always ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine. 

 

When should this product not be used? 

Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you are:

 

  • Taking any other product containing paracetamol
  • Taking medicine for high blood pressure or any ‘beta-blocker’ drugs such as Atenolol
  • Suffering from prostate problems
  • Taking any other product for colds, flu or congestion

 

Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have any of the following: 

 

  • Alcoholism
  • Liver or kidney problems
  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Glaucoma
  • High blood pressure
  • An overactive thyroid gland
  • Are taking any other medicines

 

Are there any side effects? 

Like all medicines, Covonia Cold & Flu Sugar Free Formula may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. You may experience an upset stomach while taking this medicine.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
