What is the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor?
The Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor helps you to track and monitor your most naturally fertile days, increasing your chances of getting pregnant naturally by up to 89%. It has an easy to use touchscreen, can monitor your daily fertility status and can even enable you to do pregnancy tests. It has everything you need to increase your chances of becoming pregnant in one simple monitor. This kit contains refill pregnancy and fertility tests for your Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor, the monitor is sold separately.
How will the monitor track my most fertile days?
The Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor tracks two hormones which are associated with fertility, oestrogen and luteinising hormone, or LH. When your oestrogen levels rise as a part of your monthly cycle, this indicates that you are at high fertility. When the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor also detects a surge in your LH hormone levels, you are at peak fertility and are more likely to become pregnant if you have sex.
How to use your Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor.
You can use your Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor to test your fertility or to test for pregnancy in the same way, just be sure that you are using the right pregnancy or fertility test, depending on which you want to check. Your fertility tests will be in purple foil whereas your pregnancy tests will be in white foil. For best results, use the first urine after your longest sleep.
To begin, remove your pregnancy or fertility test from its foil and place the absorbent testing end into your urine stream for 3 seconds, keeping the test pointing downwards at all times. Pull the cap off of the handle of your test and place it over the absorbent end. Insert the test into your monitor's test slot and wait 5 minutes for your test results. Your monitor will sound an alarm to let you know that testing is complete. Remove your test stick from the monitor and dispose of it in your regular household waste.
How to read your fertility and pregnancy test results.
If you are reading your fertility test results, the Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor will show one of three screens when your test is complete.
- Low – your fertility hormone levels are low, making it less likely that you will become pregnant today.
- High – your oestrogen levels have risen, increasing your fertility levels.
- Peak – the monitor has detected the surge in LH hormone which says that you are at peak fertility and will be for 2 consecutive days.
If you are using your Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor to test for pregnancy, your monitor screen will show one of two screens. It will read pregnant or not pregnant.
