What is Bonjela Complete Plus?
Bonjela Complete Plus is a form of treatment for ulcers and small cavities in the mouth. It protects the wound from external contact such as food, soothes pain, and aids in the healing process.
What are mouth ulcers?
Mouth ulcers are a small sore that forms on the inside your mouth or on your lips, tongue, or cheeks. They’re completely harmless, very common, and can be very irritating until they heal. They can cause pain when you eat, drink or talk, leaving you searching for a way to ease the irritation as the ulcer heals.
How can this gel help to ease mouth ulcers?
Bonjela Complete Plus eases mouth ulcers by covering them in a thin, protective film that lets them heal without being aggravated by food, drink, or other irritants. This barrier lasts for up to four hours and helps to ease pain caused by irritation, helping the ulcer to heal in its own time.
What size ulcers can I use it on?
Do not use the gel on ulcers bigger than 1cm in diameter, or on herpes-like ulcers, which is many ulcers together. Also, you should not use this gel on infected or bleeding wounds, or burns.
Is it suitable for someone pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor before using this product or any other medication. This is to be sure that your medication is safe for both you and your baby.
Is it suitable to use if using other medication?
You should speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before using Bonjela Complete Plus if you are on any medication. This is because the ingredients in the gel can interfere with others, and reduce their effectiveness.
How do I use the gel?
To use the gel, simply apply the gel to the affected area. The area may sting or tingle for a short period after application. Wait for it to dry before closing your mouth and use it up to 4 times a day for a maximum of 5 days.
When should Bonjela Complete Plus not be used??
Bonjela Complete Plus is not suitable for use by children younger than the age of 16. Do not use this product if you are allergic to derivatives of salicylic acid or any of the other listed ingredients in the gel. This product should only be applied to the mucous membranes inside the mouth. Do not use on mouth ulcers which are bigger than 1cm in diameter or to herpes-like ulcers. Do not apply to infected wounds, burns, or deep or bleeding wounds. This product may cause temporary discomfort and some tingling after use.
Are there any side effects?
Like all medicines, Bonjela Complete Plus can have side effects, although not everyone will get them. This includes side effects which are the result of an allergic reaction. If you do notice any side effects, then stop using this product and contact your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible. How to store this product
Store in a cool, dry place and keep out of sight and reach of children. Make sure the bottle is tightly closed during storage. Keep away from sources of ignition and do not smoke around this product. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
