How Anusol Plus HC Suppositories work

Anusol Plus HC Suppositories contain a combination of ingredients that work together to treat haemorrhoids and provide relief from itching and swelling. They also discourage bacteria from growing in the affected area, protecting areas that are raw and sore.

These ingredients include:

  • Bismuth salts
  • Balsam of Peru
  • Benzyl benzoate

Gently wash and dry the affected area before using this product.

Wash your hands before and after use.

Remove 1 suppository from its plastic cover and insert it into your back passage. Make sure it is far enough inside that it won't slip out.

Insert 1 suppository at night, 1 first thing in the morning and 1 after each bowel movement.

Do not use more than 3 suppositories a day, and do not use for more than 7 days at a time.

Anusol Plus HC - 12 Suppositories Reviews

Not sure paying extra for Anusol plus HC has shown up any benefits, especially as it’s a prescription item. In this instance the pack was faulty and I would say the suppositories like so many products have shrunk in size rather than the ailment being treated. Casing was thin so would not separate by tearing. At least 7 of the suppositories used broke in two in the same place showing a clean fault line. Making it difficult to use.
