Buy Almus Laxative 5mg - 60 Tablets

Almus laxative tablets help with occasional constipation when you need short-term relief. They contain bisacodyl, a stimulant laxative that helps get your bowels moving again. Regular bowel movements are important for feeling well, and what's "normal" is different for everyone—some people go every day, others less frequently.

Directions

Always take Almus laxative tablets exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. Take 1 to 2 tablets at bedtime with water. Swallow them whole; don't chew or crush them.

Avoid milk, antacids, or stomach acid medicines for an hour before and after taking these tablets, as they'll stop them working properly. If you're new to these tablets, start with just one and increase to two if needed. Once your bowel movements are back to normal, you can usually stop taking them.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Almus laxative tablets may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects may include:

  • Abdominal cramps or pain
  • Diarrhoea
  • Nausea

Please refer to the patient information leaflet for more information on side effects, including potentially serious side effects.

Warnings

  • Do not take Almus laxative tablets if you are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • Tell your prescriber if you are taking any other medicines
  • The tablets contain a small amount of lactose and sucrose. Tell your prescriber if you have an intolerance to some sugars
  • Some people may feel dizzy or faint while taking this medicine. If this happens to you, wait until these feelings go away before driving or using machines

Storage information

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
