What is Voltarol Emulgel?

Voltarol Emulgel is a pain relief gel that can be used to ease sore muscles and joints. If you’re struggling with aching and swollen joints due to an injury or medical condition, this gel can help to relieve your pain and ease inflammation. Voltarol Emulgel is available in 100g and 180g tubes.

What kinds of pain can this gel help to ease?

Voltarol Emulgel can be used to ease lots of different kinds of joint and muscle pains all over the body. Some of the most popular reasons why people choose to use this product include:

  • Sprains
  • Strains
  • Bruises
  • A backache
  • Sports Injuries
  • Other muscle and joint injuries
  • Tendonitis
  • Mild arthritis

How will this gel ease my joint and muscle pain?

Voltarol Emulgel contains the active ingredient diclofenac, a painkiller which is part of a group of medications known as NSAIDs, or Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. This means that diclofenac won’t just ease your pain, but it will help to relieve swelling and inflammation in your muscles and joints too.

How to use Voltarol Emulgel

Squeeze a small amount of Voltarol Emulgel, around the size of a 1 penny or 2 penny piece, to the affected area and gently rub into the skin until the gel is absorbed. Do this up to 4 times a day, leaving at least 4 hours between each application. Do not use more than 4 times in any 24 hours, and do not use this gel for more than 14 days at a time, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.

Why do I need to answer questions to buy this product?

You do not need a prescription for Voltarol Emulgel, however, you will be asked to complete a short medical questionnaire by your Chemist-4-U pharmacist before we can take your order. This includes some simple questions that all pharmacies legally are required to ask before supplying this kind of product. This helps our pharmacy team to be sure that this product is the best choice for you.

When should Voltarol Emulgel not be used?

Voltarol Emulgel is not suitable for use by children under the age of 14. Advice & Guides

Can I take two painkillers at once?

Sometimes when you take painkillers you find that although they make your headache, backache, or whatever your aches and pains you’re trying to treat a bit better, they don’t quite do the job.

This is when you might consider picking up another painkiller to try to kick that pain to the curb. But how do you know if this is safe? Can you take more than one painkiller at once?

If you’ve ever looked into your medicine cabinet and asked yourself one of these questions then you’ve come to the right place.
