Buy Valtrex

Valtrex is an antiviral medicine for adults. It contains the active ingredient valaciclovir, which works by killing or stopping the growth of viruses known as the herpes simplex virus (HSV), varicella zoster virus (VZV) and cytomegalovirus (CMV). Valtrex can be used to:

  • Treat shingles
  • Treat HSV infections of the skin and genital herpes. It can also help to prevent these infections from returning
  • Treat cold sores
  • Prevent infection from CMV after organ transplants
  • Treats and prevents HSV infections of the eye that continue to come back

We offer Valtrex for the treatment of genital herpes from our clinic.

Directions

Always take Valtrex exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. Take this medicine by mouth. Swallow the tablets whole with a drink of water and take Valtrex at the same time each day. The dose you need to take depends on what condition it is you’re treating.

Treatment of HSV infections of the skin and genital herpes

The usual dose is 500 mg (one 500 mg tablet or two 250 mg tablets) twice a day.  For the first infection you should take Valtrex for five days or for up to ten days if your doctor tells you to.

For recurrent infection the duration of treatment is normally 3-5 days. To prevent HSV infections from returning, the usual dose is one 500 mg tablet once a day.  Some people with frequent recurrences may benefit from taking one 250 mg tablet twice a day.  You should take Valtrex until your doctor tells you to stop.
