Vagisan Moisturising Cream is a cream that can help to relieve the discomfort caused by vaginal dryness. This smooth white cream has a high water content, which moisturises the skin within your vagina, and nurturing fats which will help to keep the skin supple. Using Vagisan Moisturising Cream regularly can help to prevent symptoms of vaginal dryness, keeping the pain and inflammation at bay.
What is vaginal dryness?
Vaginal dryness is experienced by many women over the course of their life and is even more common in women over 45. Dryness both inside and outside of your intimate area can cause itching, burning and pain around your vagina, making intercourse painful and leaving you feeling uncomfortable.
Can I use this product while I am pregnant?
Vagisan Moisturising Cream can be used during pregnancy, but do not use the provided applicator at this time. Always speak to your doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist before taking any medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, to be sure that the product is right for you and your baby.
Can I have sex after using this product?
You can use Vagisan Moisturising Cream before having sex, but it should not be used at the same time as condoms or diaphragms. That is because this cream can compromise the tear strength of condoms and diaphragms, making them less effective. This cream does not contain spermicide and should not be used to protect against unwanted pregnancy.
How to use Vagisan Moist Cream
Vagisan Moisturising Cream includes a handy applicator which makes using this product simple. Just attach the applicator to the opening of the tube of cream and squeeze the tube, filling the applicator about half way. Remove the applicator from the tube and insert into the vagina as you would a tampon, then push the plunger on the applicator to insert cream into the vagina and remove the applicator. When should Vagisan Moist Cream not be used?
Vagisan Moisturising Cream should not be used immediately after childbirth. Speak to your doctor for advice if you are suffering with more extreme symptoms caused by vaginal dryness or if this cream does not sufficiently ease your symptoms. If you have a vaginal infection such as thrush, do not use Vagisan Moisturising Cream. Do not use this product if you have an allergy to any of the listed ingredients. This product is not recommended for use with condoms or diaphragms.
Does this product have any side effects?
Vagisan Moisturising Cream may cause side effects, as any medication can, although not everyone will experience them. You may experience mild irritation, such as itching or stinging, in the area where you have applied the product, but this should be temporary. If you experience this or any other side effects, talk to your doctor or your Chemist 4 U pharmacist.
