What is Sudafed Natural Relief Blocked Nose Spray?

Sudafed Natural Relief Blocked Nose Spray contains a preservative-free, isotonic saline solution that’s an effective treatment to clear and relieve blocked, dry or irritated nasal passages caused by cold and flu, sinusitis and allergies such as hay fever. This natural, gentle formula means it's suitable for all ages, even the small, delicate noses of infants. It works by rinsing the nasal passage to sweep away mucus and restore moisture to the areas of dryness, so you can breathe better.

How to use this product

Always use this nasal spray exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. For infants and babies up to 2 years old, spray once into each nostril as and when required. For children over 2 years and adults, administer one to two sprays into each nostril as and when required.

How do decongestants work?

A decongestant clears up congestion, helping you to breathe easier. Congestion is caused when the blood vessels in your nose dilate, causing inflammation and discomfort. Decongestant treatments help to narrow these blood vessels, and with the swelling reduced, it allows more air to pass through and the mucus to drain, providing relief for cold and flu symptoms.

How to get rid of a blocked nose

A warm, steamy room may loosen the mucus and help you to breathe better - try a warm bath or a humidifier to keep the air moist. Congestion is often worse at night, so try to alter your sleeping position by elevating your head with pillows. You may wish to use a bulb suctioning device to remove the mucus yourself, a nasal spray, or a decongestant to release the build-up. Drinking plenty of fluids will thin out the mucus, which in turn makes it easier for you to cough up.

Is Sudafed Natural Relief Blocked Nose Spray suitable for children?

Yes, Sudafed Natural Relief Blocked Nose Spray is suitable for children of all ages, including infants. This nasal spray should always be administered to children under adult supervision.

When should this product not be used?

Sudafed Natural Relief Blocked Nose Spray may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use it if you have a known hypersensitivity to sodium chloride or to any of the other ingredients. One bottle should be used only by the same person as the use of this dispenser by more than one person may spread infection. If your symptoms persist after 14 days, worsen, or if new symptoms occur, stop use and consult a healthcare professional.

If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.
