How Solpadeine Plus (Codeine/Paracetamol) works
Solpadeine Plus (Codeine/Paracetamol) contains 3 active ingredients: paracetamol, codeine and caffeine.
Paracetamol is an analgesic which works to relieve pain. It works by blocking the chemical messengers in the brain that tell you when you have pain.
Codeine is also used to relieve pain and belongs to a group of medicines known as opioid analgesics, which work in the central nervous system and the brain, blocking pain messages to the rest of the body.
Caffeine is used to help enhance the effects of paracetamol.
