What is QV Skin Lotion?

QV Skin Lotion is a lotion that is intended to be used in order to soothe dry skin and repair the skin. With an easy-to-apply formula, this lotion can be used to treat the skin all over the body. Ingredients contained in the lotion include glycerin and petrolatum which help to restore the skin barrier and keep moisture in the skin. This lotion can be used on sensitive skin. It is colour and fragrance-free.

What causes dry skin?

Dry skin is caused by the skin’s natural protective barrier becoming broken. This can be caused by triggers, which are either external or internal in nature. External factors that can cause dry skin can include:

  • The weather
  • UV sunlight
  • Washing the skin too often
  • Using the wrong type of skin care products on your skin
  • Some types of medication

Internal causes of dry skin include:

  • Hormonal changes
  • What you eat
  • Ageing

Other factors that can cause dry skin include not treating the skin effectively, sun exposure, conditions in your workplace, dehydration, and smoking.

Who is this skin lotion suitable for?

This lotion is suitable to be used by those who are suffering from the effects of dry skin. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to the ingredients contained in the lotion. Do not use on open wounds. If you are using any other form of medication, then speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U before using.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this lotion?

Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a medical professional for advice before using.

How should QV Skin Lotion be used?

Apply to the skin in the affected areas as often as it is required. It is recommended that the lotion is used after a shower or bath, or after shaving. This will allow for softer skin.

Are there any side effects?

Any side effect of using this lotion is most likely to be caused by an allergic reaction. If you notice any side effect, stop using and speak to a doctor or Chemist 4 U pharmacist as soon as possible.
