What is QV Gentle Wash?

QV Gentle Wash is a soap-free cleanser that’s suitable for use on dry, itchy skin and can help to relieve symptoms of dry skin conditions like atopic eczema and psoriasis. Soaps can be harsh on the skin causing it to become dry and irritated, in addition to making symptoms of skin conditions worse.

QV Gentle Wash does not contain any harsh soaps and is pH balanced to rehydrate dry, sensitive skin. The wash is suitable for washing your face, body and hair and is capable of removing makeup whilst still being gentle on your skin.

How to use this product

Always use this wash exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. QV Wash is gentle enough to be used daily in the shower or bath. Apply the desired amount of QV Gentle Wash to wet skin and lightly massage. Rinse before gently patting the skin dry with a soft towel and take care not to rub the skin when drying.

What is dry skin?

Certain people have naturally dry skin, where the skin doesn’t retain enough moisture. Others can develop dry skin during colder weather or due to a condition like eczema or psoriasis. If you have dry skin you may experience tightness, especially after showering, bathing or swimming. Additionally, your skin can change in texture or appearance like being rough, red and cracking, and it may flake or peel. Dry skin can be extra sensitive, too.

How do I know if I have sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin is a common problem which usually means your skin is easily irritated by products or environmental factors. You may notice redness, dryness and your skin may develop a bumpy rash when it’s exposed to a trigger. Your skin might also be more prone to breakouts and sunburn compared to people without sensitive skin.

When should this product not be used?

Do not use this wash if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. This product is for external use only. Do not apply to wounds. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with water. If any sensitivity or irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
