What is QV Gentle Wash?

QV Gentle Wash is a type of cleanser that helps to moisturise and protect the skin from dryness and irritation. Unlike other skin products, such as soaps, this wash will not remove natural oils from the skin which can cause skin dryness. It also reduces the risk or irritation, because it is pH balanced does contain any colours, fragrances, propylene glycol, or lanolin. This gentle wash can be used to relieve skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and psoriasis. It can also be used for washing hair in order to reduce the effects of dandruff.

 

What causes dry skin?

Dry skin usually occurs when the skin’s natural protective barrier becomes damaged, due to a trigger. These triggers can be caused by a number of different conditions, which are either external or internal. External triggers for dry skin include:

  • Weather conditions
  • UV sunlight
  • Washing the skin frequently
  • A skin care routine that is incorrect for your skin
  • Some types of medication

Internal cause of dry skin includes:

  • A family history of the condition
  • Hormonal changes
  • What you eat
  • Ageing

Dry skin can also be influenced by substances you come into contact with at work, the wrong treatment for your skin, dehydration, and smoking.

 

Who is this wash suitable for?

This wash is suitable to be used by anyone who is looking for a cleanser that will treat dry skin but is good for sensitive skin. It should not be used by anyone who is allergic to any of the ingredients that are contained in the wash. Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this wash?

QV Gentle Wash should be used as a soap whenever needed and also can be used as a shampoo for treating dandruff affected heads.
