Proctosedyl Suppositories are a haemorrhoid (piles) treatment that contains two ingredients that work together to ease your discomfort. The first, cinchocaine hydrochloride, gently numbs the area to relieve pain and help relax any tightness around your bottom. The second, hydrocortisone, calms down inflammation, reducing the swelling, itching and discharge that often come with piles.  

Directions 

  • Insert one suppository into your back passage in the morning, evening and after each bowel movement 
  • Do not use for longer than 7 days 
  • For further information on the directions for this product, please refer to the patient information leaflet 

Warnings 

  • Do not use Proctosedyl Suppositories if you are allergic to cinchocaine hydrochloride, hydrocortisone or any of the other listed ingredients 
  • Tell your prescriber if you are taking any other medicines 
  • Tell your prescriber if you are pregnant or breastfeeding 

Storage information 

Store between 2°C - 8°C. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
