Piriteze Allergy Syrup (2 Years +) Sugar Free Banana Flavour - 70ml is designed to relieve the symptoms of allergies such as:

 

  • Hay fever 
  • Pet or house dust mite allergies 
  • Skin allergies 
  • Rashes, itching and urticaria 

 

It helps with symptoms such as itchy and watery eyes, sneezing and a runny nose. 

 

How Piriteze Allergy Syrup (2 Years +) Sugar Free Banana Flavour - 70ml works

Piriteze Allergy Syrup (2 Years +) Sugar Free Banana Flavour - 70ml contains the active ingredient cetirizine hydrochloride which is a non-drowsy antihistamine. It works by relieving the symptoms of allergic reactions.

 

Directions

Always take Piriteze Allergy Syrup (2 Years +) Sugar Free Banana Flavour - 70ml exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you. 

 

Children aged between 2 and 6 years
Give your child 2.5ml of syrup twice a day. You should give it to them in the morning and evening. 

 

Children aged between 6 and 12 years
Give your child 5ml twice a day. You should give it to them in the morning and evening. 

 

Children over the age of 12 years and adults
Take 2 x 5ml spoonfuls twice a day.

 

Do not take more than the recommended dose. 

 

Side effects

Like all medicines, Piriteze Allergy Syrup (2 Years +) Sugar Free Banana Flavour may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include: 

 

  • Headaches
  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Tiredness
  • Restlessness 
  • Dry mouth 
  • Sore throat 
  • Abdominal pain 
  • Diarrhoea 
  • Nausea 
  • Runny nose

 

If you experience any side effects, including any not included in the patient information leaflet, you can report them using the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

 

Serious side effects

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 

 

Warnings

Piriteze Allergy Syrup (2 Years+) Sugar Free Banana Flavour - 70ml may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not take this syrup if you are allergic to any of the ingredients or if you have severe kidney problems. 

Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before taking this medicine if you are epileptic and are at risk of seizures. 

Do not take this product if you are having a skin allergy test. You will need to wait 3 days after taking this product before the test. 

 

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist before taking this product.

 

Age restrictions 

This product is not suitable for children under 2 years old.

 

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before taking any new medicine. 

 

Alcohol

Be careful when you are drinking alcohol. This product can increase the effects of alcohol.

 

Driving and operating machinery 

Drowsiness is a side effect of the syrup. If you are affected, do not drive or operate machinery until you feel safe enough to do so.

 

Storage information

Store in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging. Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste.
